I’ve never read this magazine before a recent trip to Texas. In fact I never have really even heard of it. Now that its in my hands I think I want to be a scientist.
Did you know you could send electricity through the air!? Some how I have to wonder about the health benefits of that though. I mean I’m not too sure I want to be walking through my house with all sorts of electricity flying around me. Either way I’m sure someday they will come up with a great way to charge my laptop without having to be sitting near a wall.
The future is now!

February 7th, 2008 at 1:46 pmPHIL! Remember me?
Ah and you actually respond on this thing?
Okay I’ve been asking myself for forever and I just want to know…
Do you think I’m really annoying?
Because if I am, then I’ll stop. Or at least try to (:

February 7th, 2008 at 2:43 pmWait, does that mean they could really make wireless extension cords!? Whoa.

February 7th, 2008 at 3:44 pmI just happened to check the blog right after you posted this and I thought it would be fun to be the first comment
We’ve met too… a few times… most recently my best friend, Zoe, opened for you in Ventura a couple months ago. That was a fun show.
Although who knows what you could do if you add some science experiments into your gig

February 7th, 2008 at 4:57 pmThat’s a great idea. Specially since the average person only gets 3hrs of battery life away from the wall. Maybe in the future they’ll capture it in a can. Like in the movie Stardust. lol It’ll come w/ a plug and everything.

February 7th, 2008 at 5:03 pmi actually stumbled upon the popular science magazine while at an airport not long ago… and like you it feed my inner nerd. In the one i read it talked about how Scientist think we have an inactive Black hole in our galaxy, which is kinda freaky… but super cool. I mean the rapture will most likely happen before the thing decides to wake up and eat everything. btw the new profile is nice

February 7th, 2008 at 5:20 pmPhil,
I’ve been a fan for a long time, and I try to tell everyone about you. When you released Cannons, I was unfortunately not financially stable, so I had to put music purchases on hold. Well, my birthday wasn’t that long ago, and a friend gave me your new CD for a present.
I love it, and have been listening non-stop for two weeks straight. I can truly see your heart in this CD.
Thank you for making such a beautiful piece of art.

February 7th, 2008 at 6:16 pmThe future is now! - for some reason that quote reminds me of the movie “Honey we shrunk ourselves”. & I guess it does have to do with electricity - that’s how the got shrunk! I know, random ~ sorry!

February 7th, 2008 at 7:44 pmWow…your random. How long did it take for you to come up w/ the lyrics for Canons. I mean its very vivid and symbolic and makes you want to listen to the song over to make sure that is what you said. They’re good lyrics…ok sorry…writing alot.
God Bless

February 8th, 2008 at 11:34 amPhil, My sister Melody bought us tickets to your Manhattan KS. show last Oct. She introduced me to Brody when we were there. He is so FUNNY!!! We live in Kansas City, MO but we took a mini “road trip” to Manhattan KS. in order to see you. We even ran into the keyboard player from The Myriad at Starbucks after the show.(My sister has a Starbucks addiction)By the way, did you see that Myriad won the MTV2 contest?!
Melody and I first saw you when you played in KC, MO. with Mercy Me (again, a ticket my sister bought for me…. hmmm, are we noticing a theme…?) And boy am I glad she’s so generous.
I have been a huge fan since that night with You and Mercy Me. We went straight to your table, bought your CD, shook your hand, and the rest is history. Never has music hit straight to my heart and soul like your music has. I listen while I do coursework(I’m in college), I listen at work, I listen during my quiet time each day. I just don’t get tired of it. I have your Phil Wickham sticker on my nightstand so that I remember to pray for you, Brody and your families each day.
My husband recently said, “Can we put Phil’s face somewhere else? I feel like he’s staring at me” (My thought was “Even though his eyes are covered in the pic…?:-))I told him “Nope, Phil stays right there. I pray for him everyday. The sticker stays.” So there you are right next to my Bible and my CD player. I hope to see you in KC this year. Tell us how to get you here and we’ll start working on it! Please tell your family thanks for sharing you with us all. I think next time around, I’ll buy Melody the ticket.
God bless.

February 8th, 2008 at 11:42 amI’ll be honest and say that before this past Wednesday I’d never heard of you however one of the guys that works at the consignment shop I am an assistant manager at, burned a worship mix CD… long story short we had it in and a customer commented on how much she appreciated the clean music and asked who was currently playing, guy worker tells her to which I respond “Who’s that?”. They both look at me like I’ve been stuck on a distant planet for a century (I wasn’t but I was in Mexico for a year and kind of lost track of things)… Any way - I just wanted to thank you for producing music that just isn’t Christian but glorifies God and brings us into His presence even in secular workplaces!

February 8th, 2008 at 1:27 pmScary thing is… I used to read that magazine a lot. Its really interesting reading about the things that might be in our near future. Or later future if that works better for you.
I agree, I can’t way for them to find a new way to charge laptops without being near a wall. It would make studying and business so much easier to do. I could take it every where!!!
Kelly
February 10th, 2008 at 7:20 amYep Phil, it would be great to have a cool computer as some do get very hot and a wall-less one just thus making it truly wireless…
