I am more than interested! I am ecstatic! Please, please, please, do “Beautiful”. The song means so much to me…My favorite part of the song is when you say “When we arrive at eternity’s shore. Where death is just a memory and tears are no more” It’s just so “beautiful”. No pun intended. As for the free download I thank you. I wish I could be in Portland…oh how I wish I could go. I would love to see you record “Nothing but the Blood”. I never really liked hymns but once I heard your version of it, I must say you changed my mind. are you allowed to do other worship songs or just your own? One of my favorite songs is Days of Elijah by Robin Mark. that would be a sweet Phil Wickham cover!! Or you could always do one of Evan’s songs….Pour out your spirit….Ideas….

Sounds incredible.I’d love to know how to get tickets to attend in person. It would be so memorable to come with my sister Amanda.

As far as song suggestions - I have a question. One time I heard you singing a song with these lyrics,”Because of your love my debt is paid. Because of your blood my sins are washed away. Now all of my life, I freely give. Because of Your love, because of Your love Ahhhh ahhhhh…” The Spirit gripped me as I listened and I have never forgotten the words or the melody. Admitedly, I don’t know if you penned this gem or not, but I truly believe it would be a blessed addition to the May 9th recording. Please prayerfully consider this if possible. Of course, all your tunes are fueled by God’s Holy Spirit so I am confident that whatever the Lord leads you to chose will bring Him great glory, as always.
I’m excited that God’s providing this wonderful opportunity to fulfill a desire of your heart - He loves you so.

Also, some other neat praise songs for you to do would be Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone), In Christ Alone, Hosanna, and How Great Is Our God. I’d love to see you cover Twila Paris’ old song, “We Will Glorify”. There is an excellent version of this on the 722 website (www.722.org). You can see it in the video section of the 6/12/07 message about a quarter of the way in.

I think you’d play it wonderfully coming out of Divine Romance/Nothing But The Blood in the Key of C, like you do live. Just a thought - take it or leave it, but I can definitely see you leading that song!

I love “Mystery” and “Divine Romance” and basically anything you sing haha. I also think it would be really cool if you sang some more traditional hymns. “Come Thou Fount” is one of my favorites. “Prone to wander, Lord I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love. Phil. This is so amazing. It’s even better than I imagined. Wow. It was definitely worth waiting for.

I really think that “In Christ Alone” should be included. It’s been on my heart so much lately. I feel like it’s such a statement of our faith and can be so powerful.

My favorites as far as your songs are concerned are “Mystery,” “DR,” “Desire,” and “Grace.”

How exciting! I am more tempted to road trip it along the west coast now more than ever…but I’m thinking May 9 is a little close.

If you’re doing covers, I’d love to hear you do: “You are Good” by Jeff Deyo. And anything (literally) by Shane and Shane.

And, of course, many songs you have written would be amazing acoustic. I’m looking forward to the authenticity that comes out of this, Phil! Great idea on the free download…I hear some band named Radiohead tried that once…not sure how it worked out for them.

Awesome idea, Phil! I highly recommmend that you include “Because of Your love” as part of your worship set. As you know, it’s very Christ centered and easy to learn. I think that it’s one of those songs that the church will embrace. I know that our church has. Blessings!

i just checked out the blog and i am so excited about this album. there is something that just resonates with my heart about acoustic albums. i think it’s how raw and pure they are. i think a crowd favorite is divine romance, but the songs that my heart sings with are “desire” and “yours alone”. i love that you talk about in “yours alone” how you know God is good. and all he does is good. we forget that. and it’s hard to see sometimes in these human eyes. it’s just a refreshing song about commitment and the faithfulness of god. i love it.

This is so exciting! I am definitely coming! Off the newest album my two favorites are After Your Heart and True Love. Both of those songs are such an encouragement to me in my daily struggles. Another favorite of mine is I Will Wait For You There. It puts words to my deepest desire to worship and praise God with all of my heart. Can’t wait to worship with you!

You might be considered brilliant to be doing this. It’s kinda Keith Green/Derek Webb-esque. I like those guys.

Hi Phil!

My two favorites that you’ve already recorded are “Beautiful” and “I Will Wait”. They are the heart of worship to me. Other than that, I’d love to hear you do your own version of some old hymns. Maybe “Tis so Sweet” or “Take My Life and Let it Be”. But ultimately, anything you are passionate about will ignite passion in others’ hearts. Oh dear Philly this is so cool! I’ve never ever heard you play “Fall Into You” live and that’s sad. I remember the first time I heard that song it was the night of September 24, 2006, after your concert and when you sang “Oh Maker of Sun and Moon and Stars, I throw myself into your arms, Into Your arms. Into Your Arms” you took my breath away. I have always loved that song, and it would be cool to play cuz ya know ya never do. :] Love you lots and You’re always in my prayers

I added to the youtube comments, and after looking on iTunes for a good rendition, I found my favortie worship songs. I felt that you could really make a mark by singing any of these, and I tried to pick some that I wouldn’t mind listening to over and over. “Unwavering” with Bethany Dillion, “A Greater Song” with Marty Raybon, and “Breathe” with Kathryn Scott. Phil- We have ran into a kunundrum! My wife called a friend to start invites as we were singing with the birds and seeing rainbows, (all those things you do when filled with joy)and low and behold we relized that we have a marriage conference that we have been signed up for from a Western Seminary Professor named Art Azurdia on may 9th and 10th. I wish there was a way to do both! I will still pass the word to our youth group.

This is wonderful…unfortunately Portland is a bit too far from New York…I will do my best to join in the worship with the download. I don’t think there is any song you could sing that wouldn’t be beautiful because there is a longing for God’s presence in all that you do. Whenever I play your albums I seem to discover something new, a stroke of the guitar or a melody or a lyric that speaks to me or draws me towards worship. Recently it was the beautiful plucking of stringed instruments on the bridge in “Fall into you” with the rising guitars and the crying out to have the self consumed by God; and those powerful moments in True Love singing “when blood and water hit the ground, walls we couldn’t move came crashing down” words that remind me there is no circumstance too great, words that tell me don’t let the truth escape because Jesus is Alive! and will meet every need. May all of you truly encounter Him on that beautiful night, may He surprise you with His glory and His grace.

I’ve really enjoyed watching (and definitely worshipping along with) the webcasts of worship at Harvest Christian Fellowship from a few years ago. What an awesome opportunity for you and those in the Portland area. I will do my best to watch via the web. I love all of your music but one of my favs has to be Divine Romance. I think that you should play John Mark McMillan’s “How He Loves” and if you don’t know that song yet it is so sweet. you can look it up on YouTube with him singing it and also on YouTube with Kim Walker singing it, she rocks. that is my suggestion. looking forward to it!

I said earlier that some songs from Harvest Christian Fellowship would be great…but I totally meant Maranatha! Old Maranatha/Vineyard stuff would be great…you have to love the simplistic approach to worship those songs have. Besides, as a Calvary kid I grew up worsipping to them. They’re oldies but definitely goodies;o)

Hello hello Phil.

We met literally in the middle of your set when you played a free show in Chicago with the Myriad in a school’s small auditorim that hosts a body of believers there. “It’s a wonderful life”…Anyway.

The new album idea sounds great. The way you want people to be a part of it and engaged with it, also great. It could be sweet for you to do some old hymns like “In Christ Alone” or “Come Thou Fount.” Stuff like that. I’m sure you’ll pick which of your own to put on but Mystery and Always Forever are definitely favorites.

Hey: we’ll be there! We just started attending Solid Rock so what a blessing it will be to have you coming to our home church. Cannons, You’re Beautiful (have the audience do the oohs by themselves), Always Forever, Fall Into You, I Adore You (maybe in a lower key for congregational singing) - those would be my requested songs.

OMG! this is sooo awesome! i think “Divine Romance” it’s a beautiful worship song! “A Light Will Come” this song has really touched me it has just reminded me that there is hope when it seems as if there is none. “Cannons” another AMAZING worship song! “Sailing on a Ship.” And “After Your Heart” it’s really a song that has become like a prayer in my life a prayer for the revival that’s coming for my generation to put aside things of the world and your own selfish ambition and just run to God and to just seek after his heart and to offer your life as a sacrifice with a willing and obedient heart. We can’t get there unless we make the move to SEEK GOD and just spend time loving him. I think it’s so AWESOME, Phil, that you are bringing people together to seek after the King’s heart.
