I am more than interested! I am ecstatic! Please, please, please, do “Beautiful”. The song means so much to me…My favorite part of the song is when you say “When we arrive at eternity’s shore. Where death is just a memory and tears are no more” It’s just so “beautiful”. No pun intended. As for the free download I thank you. I wish I could be in Portland…oh how I wish I could go. Need any help…roadie? Thanks Phil!
That’s great Phil! I request Come To Me and High Above!

Phil,
I would love to see you record “Nothing but the Blood”. I never really liked hymns but once I heard your version of it, I must say you changed my mind. I have been waiting and hoping some day you might record it and now I see my chance to tell you. I won’t be able to be there so, I hope it all goes well.
Thanks,

Yo Phil, are we suppose to request songs that you wrote, classics like the one you posted 2 days ago, or both? Please respond. Thanks. =)
are you allowed to do other worship songs or just your own? One of my favorite songs is Days of Elijah by Robin Mark. that would be a sweet Phil Wickham cover!! Or you could always do one of Evan’s songs….Pour out your spirit….Ideas….
Sounds incredible.I’d love to know how to get tickets to attend in person. It would be so memorable to come with my sister Amanda.
As far as song suggestions - I have a question. One time I heard you singing a song with these lyrics,”Because of your love my debt is paid. Because of your blood my sins are washed away. Now all of my life, I freely give. Because of Your love, because of Your love Ahhhh ahhhhh…” The Spirit gripped me as I listened and I have never forgotten the words or the melody. Admitedly, I don’t know if you penned this gem or not, but I truly believe it would be a blessed addition to the May 9th recording. Please prayerfully consider this if possible. Of course, all your tunes are fueled by God’s Holy Spirit so I am confident that whatever the Lord leads you to chose will bring Him great glory, as always.
I’m excited that God’s providing this wonderful opportunity to fulfill a desire of your heart - He loves you so.

This is so exciting! I wish I could be there! I suggest Grace, Divine Romance, True Love, and Cannons. Also, some other neat praise songs for you to do would be Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone), In Christ Alone, Hosanna, and How Great Is Our God. I pray this event will be one great night of worship to our God.

Ellie Monaco
April 24th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
have you heard the song, “Song of Hope” by Robbie Seay Band? Its amazing!! you should try it!
Thank you so much for offering us this special night of worship! I’ll be excited to tune in and worship with you.
I’d love to see you cover Twila Paris’ old song, “We Will Glorify”. There is an excellent version of this on the 722 website (www.722.org). You can see it in the video section of the 6/12/07 message about a quarter of the way in.
I think you’d play it wonderfully coming out of Divine Romance/Nothing But The Blood in the Key of C, like you do live. Just a thought - take it or leave it, but I can definitely see you leading that song!
Grace and peace my friend!

OH wow! That sounds so awesome! I would love to see that live but since I live kinda far away, I’ll just watch it on the web. Please do “True love” I am absolutely in love with that song. “After your heart” and “Beautiful” are good too.
Oh. my. gosh. I’m so excited!!! Too bad I’m in Florida. I’ll definitely be watching the webcast!!
I love “Mystery” and “Divine Romance” and basically anything you sing haha. I also think it would be really cool if you sang some more traditional hymns. “Come Thou Fount” is one of my favorites. “Prone to wander, Lord I feel it. Prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart, Lord. Take and seal it. Seal it for Thy courts above.” Amaaaazing.

The sheer thought of you offering this up for free is astonishing to me. I really wish I could make it to Portland, but May 9th is the last day of my finals here in Illinois, as I’m still in college. When it comes to songs I would choose true love and divine romance of your originals, But i also would like a cover from you. I would love to hear your version of “I can only Imagine” by Mercy Me.

Phil. This is so amazing. It’s even better than I imagined. Wow. It was definitely worth waiting for.
I really think that “In Christ Alone” should be included. It’s been on my heart so much lately. I feel like it’s such a statement of our faith and can be so powerful.
My favorites as far as your songs are concerned are “Mystery,” “DR,” “Desire,” and “Grace.”
Thanks, Phil. You made my day.

April 24th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
Wow Phil this was much more than i could have expected for a blog announcement! After reading a few comments, I highly echo that In Christ Alone would be a perfect way to support the rest of your songs. So for whatever my two cents are worth there you go. Also, Always Forever and I Will Wait For You There would be incredible! thanks for all you do for the Kingdom
–
how about some of your songs that you haven’t recorded like Because of Your Love
and the ones that go: (#1) ‘there’s beauty in the way You move, beauty in the way You speak.’ and (#2) ‘You loved me in death, i’ll love You in life, You suffered and bled to make me alive.’ i’m guessing those are titled Come To Me and Now And Forever…
How exciting! I am more tempted to road trip it along the west coast now more than ever…but I’m thinking May 9 is a little close.
If you’re doing covers, I’d love to hear you do: “You are Good” by Jeff Deyo. And anything (literally) by Shane and Shane.
And, of course, many songs you have written would be amazing acoustic. I’m looking forward to the authenticity that comes out of this, Phil! Great idea on the free download…I hear some band named Radiohead tried that once…not sure how it worked out for them.

I wish I could be there to hear you live! Please, please play “Grace” (my favorite song). And, (if you would be so nice) please play “Spirit Fall”. Actually, I love all of your songs, so I’m sure whatever you play I will love! Can’t wait to see you at Flood
Awesome idea, Phil! I highly recommmend that you include “Because of Your love” as part of your worship set. As you know, it’s very Christ centered and easy to learn. I think that it’s one of those songs that the church will embrace. I know that our church has. Blessings!

OF COURSE, you could meet me much sooner and just come to South Florida, but I’ll find a way to meet you if you don’t…

Thanks Phil for the follow-up on what’s happening! Enjoyed meeting you in Indianapolis - opening for Mercy Me. Your gentle, kind-heart attitude in serving the Lord and ministering to others through song is greatly encouraged to continue! And thanks for thinking of us, a creative way to share with those of us who are long distant and can’t make it to your concerts. The songs from your cds speak to the heart and point us to HIM - the awesome one true God that HE IS!
Blessings to you, Cindy

phil,
i just checked out the blog and i am so excited about this album. there is something that just resonates with my heart about acoustic albums. i think it’s how raw and pure they are. i think a crowd favorite is divine romance, but the songs that my heart sings with are “desire” and “yours alone”. i love that you talk about in “yours alone” how you know God is good. and all he does is good. we forget that. and it’s hard to see sometimes in these human eyes. it’s just a refreshing song about commitment and the faithfulness of god. i love it.
thanks for sharing your heart and music. i’m really looking forward to the album.
These are my favorite songs that I’d love to hear you play, Phil!!! Cannons, Must I Wait, Desire, Jesus Lord of Heaven, True Love, and of course, Divine Romance! Can’t wait to watch the concert!

oh thats amazing. i really think you should come play at Lakeshore Baptist Church here in Bay St. Louis Mississippi. where the eye of Hurricane Katrina hit almost 3 years ago! hint hint nudge nudge. just a thought Phil…look into it maybe? visit http://www.rebuildlakeshore.com pleaseee!
anyway, i think you should play “It is well with my soul” and perhaps also “In Christ Alone” it would be amazing to hear you sing that.
God Bless ya’ll!
Brittany Rose
April 25th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
ooo and you should also play “take my heart” from Give You my world!
You might be considered brilliant to be doing this. It’s kinda Keith Green/Derek Webb-esque. I like those guys.
Please, PLEASE play “You are the Bread of Life, Jesus I’m hungry for You. Your Word it satisfies…” This may be my favorite song of yours. I dunno. “Beautiful” on your new album is so gooooooood.
Portland is a good city.
Are you wearing a grandma sweater? It’s ok.
Teach me how to play the guitar. I’ll write songs out of Psalms.
Come hang out in Aliquippa, PA this summer just once. We do inner city camps for kids, and they are lovely. Play some of your stuff for them and they can show you how to dance.
Hey Phil! May 9th is my 21st birthday! I’d love to spend it with you. So i’ll be joining you on the webcast! Super excited!

Hi Phil!
My two favorites that you’ve already recorded are “Beautiful” and “I Will Wait”. They are the heart of worship to me. Other than that, I’d love to hear you do your own version of some old hymns. Maybe “Tis so Sweet” or “Take My Life and Let it Be”. But ultimately, anything you are passionate about will ignite passion in others’ hearts. Your heart for worship is beautiful and it attracts others to want that same relationship with God. Thanks!!!

your heart is amazing! this is so awesome and i’m pumped to watch the whole thing online from Texas!
requests.. definatly “Always Forever” and “Mystery” from your first album and “After Your Heart” from cannons. maybe throw in some old worship songs too.. i think that’d add a little something special.
Oh dear Philly this is so cool! I’ve never ever heard you play “Fall Into You” live and that’s sad. I remember the first time I heard that song it was the night of September 24, 2006, after your concert and when you sang “Oh Maker of Sun and Moon and Stars, I throw myself into your arms, Into Your arms. Into Your Arms” you took my breath away. I have always loved that song, and it would be cool to play cuz ya know ya never do. :] Love you lots and You’re always in my prayers

You totally rock Phil! You’re the best Christian singer! One of my favorite songs is “After Your Heart”. It’s so opening. Hope you can go to the Harvest Crusade in Anaheim!

That is gonna be amazing! I think a song you should play is “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley. I saw a video of you on youtube doing it during soundcheck and it was sweet. Thanks!

Phil, Yes Yes Yes Yes. What a brilliant idea.
I wish I could be there, but unfortunately, I’m from Texas, live in Oklahoma, and moving to Arkansas in May! So, I will be joining you through technology!
I’m thinking my favorite songs (from your independant album) “High Above,” and “Take My Heart.” Those are my favs…
Thanks a lot for your hard work and leading us into sweet worship.

I added to the youtube comments, and after looking on iTunes for a good rendition, I found my favortie worship songs. I felt that you could really make a mark by singing any of these, and I tried to pick some that I wouldn’t mind listening to over and over. “Unwavering” with Bethany Dillion, “A Greater Song” with Marty Raybon, and “Breathe” with Kathryn Scott. If you ever go through Baker City, OR, call the Nazarene Church because we’d <LOVE<LOVE<LOVE
to have you. Everyone there knows I’m a big fan and you are a household name. Funny story: I saw you with David Crowder in Boise with my youth group, and after you kindly signed my CD and shook my hand, everyone made fun of me on the drive home that I would never wash it again. I’m the PK so I think they are extra hard on me. . anyways, I’d love to come to Portland but I’m singing with the Oregon Symphony on Saturday and we have MEGA practice that weekend. God Bless

This is going to be so great!!! Sadly, I won’t be able to make it, so I will have to watch it on the web! My favorite song is “Home”, it means so much to me, so I think that one would be great to do. I also really love “Spirit Fall”, “Yours Alone”, “True Love” and “Messiah”…well I love all of them ok!!! But those are ones that really stand out to me. I look forward to it!!!

Phil,
You are an inspiration. What a gift you have and the best part, you use it to honor and glorify our heavenly father. It is evident your heart is in the right place. We thank you for keeping the message of God’s love and grace out there for all to hear.
Alison
hands down TRUE LOVE should be in the concert.
mystery is good, divine romance (of course!), after your heart…sheesh, all your stuff is awesome.
but definitely TRUE LOVE (danka!)
heather
Hey Phil- I know alot of people who are going to get really excited when i pass the word about this one!I just had to thank Christ for causing you to do something like this. My wife just called me and i played the audio of your video invitation to her and she freaked out! We will be there Lord willing! Ill invite an army. We’ll be fighting at the door to get in! thank you phil

I’ve never heard a song that moved me as much as True Love when you played it over a year ago with Shawn Macdonald in Newberg, OR. Therefor my requests are Cannons and True Love.
Phil- We have ran into a kunundrum! My wife called a friend to start invites as we were singing with the birds and seeing rainbows, (all those things you do when filled with joy)and low and behold we relized that we have a marriage conference that we have been signed up for from a Western Seminary Professor named Art Azurdia on may 9th and 10th. I wish there was a way to do both! I will still pass the word to our youth group.
Here is a scripture for you, to remind you, and encourage you! 2tim 4:1-5
I am so excited to see how God is going to continue to Glorify Himself using you! Keep fighting the fight! Remember the lost. Preach the full Gospel.Sound the warning in full. Ezekiel 3:16-21 and Preach the Good News of Grace through faith in Christ. God bless you Phil. thanks again

This is wonderful…unfortunately Portland is a bit too far from New York…I will do my best to join in the worship with the download. I don’t think there is any song you could sing that wouldn’t be beautiful because there is a longing for God’s presence in all that you do. Whenever I play your albums I seem to discover something new, a stroke of the guitar or a melody or a lyric that speaks to me or draws me towards worship. Recently it was the beautiful plucking of stringed instruments on the bridge in “Fall into you” with the rising guitars and the crying out to have the self consumed by God; and those powerful moments in True Love singing “when blood and water hit the ground, walls we couldn’t move came crashing down” words that remind me there is no circumstance too great, words that tell me don’t let the truth escape because Jesus is Alive! and will meet every need. May all of you truly encounter Him on that beautiful night, may He surprise you with His glory and His grace.

I don’t remember the song name. It’s on your VERY first EVER album. The words in the song have something to do with.
“Where would I be without you?” The idea of the song has to do with, “if” God didn’t save your where would you be.
I love your version of “Here I am to worship” and your version of “Move me again”. One of my buddies sang background vocals on those arrangements with you and let me hear them…fantastic. You brought so much feeling and sincerity to both of those songs. God Bless and keep inspiring people with your God given ability.

April 25th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
I will wait for you there, Messaih, After Your Heart, Must I wait, The light will come, True Love (for sure cuz it’s better acoustic)and You’re Beautiful.. Your old ones are always good (like Grace, mystery, divine romance, and I adore you) but the ones mentioned are my favorites
If it’s going to be congregational worship songs could you put on the record:
1. Come To Me
2. Because of Your Love
3. We Will Wait For You
4. High Above
and any other new “congregational” worship songs you’ve written thus far. I’m excited Phil…keep it real, from the heart, and give all the glory to God!

My three favorites from your Cannons album are Beautiful, True Love, and Spirit Fall. What a wonderful thing your are doing. Phil, you are a gifted musician and songwriter. God has given you a depth to your music that goes beyond your chronological age. I am fifty-five, and proof that your music is multigenerational. As a parent of children your age, I know your parents must be very proud!
Ian
April 26th, 2008 at 4:29 am
Very cool!
Song suggestions:
1)”Cannons” like the verson done on the Relevant Podcast
2)”I Surrender All” Phil style…you know…do that thing you do.
The consensus among my friends is:
High Above
Come To Me
Be Unto Your Name

Phil, That sounds so exciting. Wish I lived in that part of the country so that I could attend. I shall make an effort to watch, though. Would love to see it. I love all your songs. In Christ, (((gentle hug))) Marcena @};-
1. Messiah
2. Desire
3. True Love
4. Divine Romance
5. After Your Heart
6. Always Forever into Crowder’s “You Alone” (Chorus and Tag only)
7. Amazing Grace arranged like Death Cab for Cutie’s “What Sarah Said”
8. Jesus Lord of Heaven
9. You’re Beautiful
10. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (Chorus Only)
11. The Light Will Come
Set List Option 2:
1-10. The entire “Once” soundtrack except for tracks 3, 6, and 9. Give track 13 everything you’ve got and it will be the best concert most people will ever see.

12. Tonight, Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins
13. Miracle Drug by U2
14. Dreams by The Cranberries
15. Pretty Things by Rufus Wainwright

That is awesome! Unfortuanatly I’ll have to watch it on the web ’cause I’m in California. But it’ll be just as good. “True Love” is one of my all time favorite song’s ever! That would be a great one to play. “Beautiful” is a good one and “Jesus, Lord of Heaven”. Can’t wait to see what you deside to play.

Elijah
April 26th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Wow. This is an amazing idea. Wow where to even start. Wow of course “True Love” it seems to express the beauty of Jesus’ death.
Of course “Beautiful”. Its perfect acoustic worship!
If this is supposed to be worship how could you leave out “Jesus Lord of Heaven”. Church’s across america worship to the Father with this song Nearly every day of the week.
Cannons, Sailing on a ship, and Home. Those are my top picks man. I just cant narrow them all down. They are all such inspirations.!!!
Thanks bro for the Ministry,
-elijah

I say do some Jimmy Robeson and Evan Wickham songs in addition to some Phil originals. I’ve really enjoyed watching (and definitely worshipping along with) the webcasts of worship at Harvest Christian Fellowship from a few years ago. I’d love to hear some of those songs on a worship cd. Just a suggestion;o)

I can’t wait to watch.

April 26th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
Thats so great!! I will have to watch the live webcast. The song I would love for you to sing is “Yours Alone”, I love it. Also, I think it would be great to have you sing “I Will Wait For You There” because that has such a good worship feel to it. Anything you sing will be great but those are some of my favs. : )

I see you’ve already got a post from an Amanda so I’ve been creative and added my own special touch to my name to help with differentiation. (see the “C.” above)
Ok so your taking requests huh?… bet you’re gonna regret that one. Honestly I listen to your albums so much I’d be happy to hear anything. I love: Always Forever, Cannons, After Your Heart, True Love, etc. I’m sure that’s no help at all. Wish I could be at the show. Might I suggest an up close and personal Kansas City show? We (Melody and I)could show you around town… free of charge. :-)Got a great church you could play at too. Nice and Big, but not too big.

What an awesome opportunity for you and those in the Portland area. I will do my best to watch via the web. I love all of your music but one of my favs has to be Divine Romance. Anything you choose will be great and used by God to bring Him joy and others to Him. Good luck with everything, can’t wait to see and hear the worship service. Melissa

I think that you should play John Mark McMillan’s “How He Loves” and if you don’t know that song yet it is so sweet. you can look it up on YouTube with him singing it and also on YouTube with Kim Walker singing it, she rocks. that is my suggestion. looking forward to it!
Sara
April 27th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I said earlier that some songs from Harvest Christian Fellowship would be great…but I totally meant Maranatha! Old Maranatha/Vineyard stuff would be great…you have to love the simplistic approach to worship those songs have. Besides, as a Calvary kid I grew up worsipping to them. They’re oldies but definitely goodies;o)
Sarah
April 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Fall Into You!!!!!!!!! a MUST have!!
My second song would have to be Messiah,
and my third option would be After Your Heart.
(Do songs that don’t already sound “acousticy” on your records. These songs would be a treat to hear in their acoustic form!) Thanks for doing this, I’m really looking forward to it! -Sarah

Hello hello Phil.
We met literally in the middle of your set when you played a free show in Chicago with the Myriad in a school’s small auditorim that hosts a body of believers there. “It’s a wonderful life”…Anyway.
The new album idea sounds great. The way you want people to be a part of it and engaged with it, also great. It could be sweet for you to do some old hymns like “In Christ Alone” or “Come Thou Fount.” Stuff like that. I’m sure you’ll pick which of your own to put on but Mystery and Always Forever are definitely favorites.

Hey: we’ll be there! We just started attending Solid Rock so what a blessing it will be to have you coming to our home church. Cannons, You’re Beautiful (have the audience do the oohs by themselves), Always Forever, Fall Into You, I Adore You (maybe in a lower key for congregational singing) - those would be my requested songs.
Peace,

OMG! this is sooo awesome! i think “Divine Romance” it’s a beautiful worship song! “A Light Will Come” this song has really touched me it has just reminded me that there is hope when it seems as if there is none. “Cannons” another AMAZING worship song! “Sailing on a Ship.” And “After Your Heart” it’s really a song that has become like a prayer in my life a prayer for the revival that’s coming for my generation to put aside things of the world and your own selfish ambition and just run to God and to just seek after his heart and to offer your life as a sacrifice with a willing and obedient heart. We can’t get there unless we make the move to SEEK GOD and just spend time loving him. I think it’s so AWESOME, Phil, that you are bringing people together to seek after the King’s heart.
Ellie Monaco
April 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
Hey. I totally think that PaulC’s idea about “Beautiful” would be sooo cool.!! that If the audience did the oohs by themselves that would be awesome!
Ellie... again! :)
April 28th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
I also think that this part of the song: “When we arrive at eternity’s shore
Where death is just a memory and tears are no more
We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring
Your bride will come together and we’ll sing
You’re beautiful” would be cool too with just the audience. idk. just random ideas!

The song means so much to me…My favorite part of the song is when you say “When we arrive at eternity’s shore. Where death is just a memory and tears are no more” It’s just so “beautiful”. No pun intended.

April 24th, 2008 at 6:05 pmSounds incredible.I’d love to know how to get tickets to attend in person.
Melody

April 24th, 2008 at 7:04 pmHey Phil,
Thank you so much for offering us this special night of worship!
Anna
April 24th, 2008 at 7:23 pmOH wow! That sounds so awesome! I would love to see that live but since I live kinda far away, I’ll just watch it on the web. Please do “True love” I am absolutely in love with that song. “After your heart” and “Beautiful” are good too.

April 24th, 2008 at 7:46 pmOh. my.
Meghan
April 24th, 2008 at 7:51 pmoh yeah , and I was going to say that maybe it had something to do with Prince Caspian being released a week later, but alas I guess the theorizing is over considering we know what it is, very well then

Tom Frey

and the ones that go: (#1) ‘there’s beauty in the way You move, beauty in the way You speak.’ and (#2) ‘You loved me in death, i’ll love You in life, You suffered and bled to make me alive.’ i’m guessing those are titled Come To Me and Now And Forever…

April 25th, 2008 at 7:16 amHow exciting!

April 25th, 2008 at 12:36 pmphil,
i just checked out the blog and i am so excited about this album. there is something that just resonates with my heart about acoustic albums. i think it’s how raw and pure they are. i think a crowd favorite is divine romance, but the songs that my heart sings with are “desire” and “yours alone”. i love that you talk about in “yours alone” how you know God is good. and all he does is good. we forget that. and it’s hard to see sometimes in these human eyes. it’s just a refreshing song about commitment and the faithfulness of god. i love it.
thanks for sharing your heart and music. i’m really looking forward to the album.

anyway, i think you should play “It is well with my soul” and perhaps also “In Christ Alone” it would be amazing to hear you sing that.
God Bless ya’ll!
Brittany Rose
April 25th, 2008 at 2:28 pmooo and you should also play “take my heart” from Give You my world!
AndreaLynn
April 25th, 2008 at 2:49 pmSome things:
Greg Burnett
April 25th, 2008 at 2:53 pmLove it, Phil! Its about time, bro! I so look forward to hearing it and getting it!
Grace to you, in Christ Jesus,

April 25th, 2008 at 3:04 pmHi Phil!
Thanks!!!
Tabitha
Andrew
April 25th, 2008 at 3:27 pm2 other songs that I love is “must I wait & crumble to pieces”.
Stephanie

April 25th, 2008 at 4:15 pmOh dear Philly this is so cool!

April 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pmOh my goodness! I’m so excited about this project. I go onto Youtube to see the video of you sining “True Love” live at a magazine company at least once a week. I adore the live version. Please PLEASE play that live at this event and put it on the album. Also, I love your live version of Divine Romance.
I look forward to watching the event and getting the album,
Cheers!
Lindsay Katherine

April 25th, 2008 at 4:42 pmThat is gonna be amazing! I think a song you should play is “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley. I saw a video of you on youtube doing it during soundcheck and it was sweet. Thanks!

April 25th, 2008 at 4:43 pmI added to the youtube comments, and after looking on iTunes for a good rendition, I found my favortie worship songs.
God Bless
Megan
April 25th, 2008 at 4:54 pmI am so excited about this! I so admire your heart for Jesus and worship of Him! Keep rockin’, man!
Rebekah
April 25th, 2008 at 5:00 pmThis is going to be so great!!!
AnnnaMarie

April 25th, 2008 at 5:16 pmPhil,
You are an inspiration. What a gift you have and the best part, you use it to honor and glorify our heavenly father. It is evident your heart is in the right place. We thank you for keeping the message of God’s love and grace out there for all to hear.

April 25th, 2008 at 6:09 pmI would love for you to do some of your songs from your independent record- being that i can’t find it anywhere to purchase. That would make my day.
Also, somebody mentioned the “nothing but the blood” hymn that you have done- that would be amazing too!

April 25th, 2008 at 6:37 pmPhil- We have ran into a kunundrum!

Diana
April 25th, 2008 at 9:37 pmThis is wonderful…unfortunately Portland is a bit too far from New York…I will do my best to join in the worship with the download.
Rebecca
April 25th, 2008 at 9:46 pmI don’t remember the song name. It’s on your VERY first EVER album. The words in the song have something to do with.
“Where would I be without you?” The idea of the song has to do with, “if” God didn’t save your where would you be.
LOOOOOOOOOVE that song by you!
Mitchel Schiff
April 25th, 2008 at 9:57 pmDo “Messiah” and “Divine Romance!” If you are looking for covers, “In Christ Alone” would be a sweet hymn to do.
Rebecca
April 25th, 2008 at 10:04 pmTHIS song sorry.
Ellie Monaco
April 25th, 2008 at 10:06 pmoh wow! there’s 153…. now make that 154 comments! I was going to mention a song, but it’s too ‘rocky’ for what you want. so never-mind.
Jason Winters
April 25th, 2008 at 11:03 pmI love your version of “Here I am to worship” and your version of “Move me again”. One of my buddies sang background vocals on those arrangements with you and let me hear them…fantastic. You brought so much feeling and sincerity to both of those songs. God Bless and keep inspiring people with your God given ability.
Tauna
April 25th, 2008 at 11:50 pmI will wait for you there, Messaih, After Your Heart, Must I wait, The light will come, True Love (for sure cuz it’s better acoustic)and You’re Beautiful.. Your old ones are always good (like Grace, mystery, divine romance, and I adore you) but the ones mentioned are my favorites
Kevin
April 26th, 2008 at 12:37 amIf it’s going to be congregational worship songs could you put on the record:
1. Come To Me
2. Because of Your Love
3. We Will Wait For You
4. High Above
and any other new “congregational” worship songs you’ve written thus far. I’m excited Phil…keep it real, from the heart, and give all the glory to God!

April 26th, 2008 at 3:53 amMy three favorites from your Cannons album are Beautiful, True Love, and Spirit Fall. What a wonderful thing your are doing. Phil, you are a gifted musician and songwriter. God has given you a depth to your music that goes beyond your chronological age. I am fifty-five, and proof that your music is multigenerational. As a parent of children your age, I know your parents must be very proud!
Ian
April 26th, 2008 at 4:29 amVery cool!

April 26th, 2008 at 12:43 pmThat is awesome! Unfortuanatly I’ll have to watch it on the web ’cause I’m in California. April 26th, 2008 at 2:12 pmWow.
Thanks bro for the Ministry,
-elijah
Sara
April 26th, 2008 at 2:31 pmI say do some Jimmy Robeson and Evan Wickham songs in addition to some Phil originals. I’ve really enjoyed watching (and definitely worshipping along with) the webcasts of worship at Harvest Christian Fellowship from a few years ago. I’d love to hear some of those songs on a worship cd. Just a suggestion;o)
Colleen
April 26th, 2008 at 2:32 pmI am really excited that you are doing an accoustic album. Your talent shines when you do accoustic shows.
I can’t wait to watch.
Sarah
April 26th, 2008 at 2:46 pmThats so great!! I will have to watch the live webcast. The song I would love for you to sing is “Yours Alone”, I love it. Also, I think it would be great to have you sing “I Will Wait For You There” because that has such a good worship feel to it. Anything you sing will be great but those are some of my favs. : )
Stacy Knowles
April 26th, 2008 at 3:09 pmI AM SO EXCITED!!!!
Amanda C.
April 26th, 2008 at 5:40 pmI see you’ve already got a post from an Amanda so I’ve been creative and added my own special touch to my name to help with differentiation.
Chez
April 26th, 2008 at 7:33 pmPerhaps

April 27th, 2008 at 2:31 amUp late. Okay, I found the song title. BTW, it’s on a sight called imeem.com. I was typing in the lyrics and it popped up. COOL.
The song is from your VERY FIRST EVER album. I relate to THIS song SOOOO MUCH!!
“How it all turned out!”
Love that song!!!
God bless ya Phil!! Keep rocking and POINTING us to JESUS!!!
Melissa
April 27th, 2008 at 3:37 amWhat an awesome opportunity for you and those in the Portland area. I will do my best to watch via the web. I love all of your music but one of my favs has to be Divine Romance. Anything you choose will be great and used by God to bring Him joy and others to Him. Good luck with everything, can’t wait to see and hear the worship service. Melissa
Sweetheart
April 27th, 2008 at 11:33 amFantastic! Can’t wait to get the live worship! You do such a beautiful job on “Nothing But the Blood”. Would love to hear that on the album.
ericandash
April 27th, 2008 at 11:36 amI think that you should play John Mark McMillan’s “How He Loves” and if you don’t know that song yet it is so sweet. you can look it up on YouTube with him singing it and also on YouTube with Kim Walker singing it, she rocks. that is my suggestion. looking forward to it!
Sara
April 27th, 2008 at 2:25 pmI said earlier that some songs from Harvest Christian Fellowship would be great…but I totally meant Maranatha! Old Maranatha/Vineyard stuff would be great…you have to love the simplistic approach to worship those songs have. Besides, as a Calvary kid I grew up worsipping to them. They’re oldies but definitely goodies;o)
Sarah
April 27th, 2008 at 3:04 pmFall Into You!!!!!!!!! a MUST have!!
My second song would have to be Messiah,
and my third option would be After Your Heart.
(Do songs that don’t already sound “acousticy” on your records. These songs would be a treat to hear in their acoustic form!) Thanks for doing this, I’m really looking forward to it! -Sarah
Josh Rivera
April 27th, 2008 at 3:24 pmThats so tight, I know the Lord will really move people that night.

April 27th, 2008 at 3:55 pmHello hello Phil.

April 28th, 2008 at 5:43 pmHey: we’ll be there!
Peace,
Paul

April 28th, 2008 at 6:42 pmOMG! this is sooo awesome! i think “Divine Romance” it’s a beautiful worship song!

April 28th, 2008 at 9:01 pmHey. I totally think that PaulC’s idea about “Beautiful” would be sooo cool.!! that If the audience did the oohs by themselves that would be awesome!
Ellie... again! :)
April 28th, 2008 at 9:10 pmI also think that this part of the song: “When we arrive at eternity’s shore
Where death is just a memory and tears are no more
We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring
Your bride will come together and we’ll sing
You’re beautiful” would be cool too with just the audience. idk. just random ideas!

April 28th, 2008 at 10:05 pmyeah!!! You should sing Humble King and Mighty to Save!!!
