Hey everyone,
I’m Mallory, Phil’s wife. As many of you may know, Phil is going out on tour with Leeland and Matt Maher this spring. We are really excited about this tour, and we would love to keep you updated on what is going on while we are on the road. Because Phil has so much on his plate, he has asked me to temporarily take over the job of blogging.
I have to admit, the thought of guest blogging for Phil is quite a daunting and intimidating task. I never write anything, unless Facebook status updates count, which trust me, mine don’t. To be honest, I’m not really even a blog reader, except for the occasional girly types of blogs on clothes, decorating, or cooking (Ewe. Did that sound too stereotypical of me? Sorry. I cant help it, I like that stuff!).
So now that you are all aware of my lack of experience in this area, I have a question for all you Phil Wickham blog following people: What do you want from this blog?! What do you want to read about? Do you want me to pick Phil’s brain about a certain song? Post a video of the night? Or a picture?! Talk about what we had for dinner? Or how we had to take showers in a basement with cockroaches?
Hopefully with your help (and trust me, I desperately need it), we can make this fun and interesting. Basically, I want to give you the power over this blog (oohh you like the idea of that don’t you!?). It will make it easier for me, and it will allow me to provide you with the content you actually want. So please don’t be a stranger, and right now, if you’re reading this, comment and let me know what my next post should be about.
Ok, I’m really sick of typing/seeing the word “blog” so I’m going to finish this post. See you soon!
-Mallory

You guys are the most cute couple ever!! What I’d love to hear from you guys is how you guys maintenance your married life on daily basis. As you can see so many fans or attractive people would love to be with you guys. It’s so fortune to have a cute wife/husband that loves God. What’s the limit line in order to avoid any temptaions that can ruin your marriage life? TBH, I’ve seen a lot of loving God couple in general, but I’ve seen just few of that has attractive ones. You guys are one of the most perfect couple, I meant loving God plus good looking as well. Thankyou for your time and hope to hear from you soon.
I have looked everywhere I know to look for the lyrics to “Great In My Life” but have not been successful. Is there some web site I can find this? Thank you very much.
I think that phil should sing Fall into you live, I don’t think he has ever done that live. It would be amazing, I love hearing latest updates with you and phil so please keep them coming;)
Your songs are amazing— I like your tone of singing, just like I like other singers, but just like the comments above said, you have this very specific singing tone that seems to connect with God:); A long time ago- I think in 2008 during Christmas, you came here and sang- and that’s when I got you’re first album that you signed… and that introduced me intro Christianity:)
Hello Mallory!
I was wondering if you could ask Phil how he came up with the lyrics of “High Above” a song from his very first CD Give You My World.
youre doing fine so far haha.
i personally would love to know about everything that happens at the shows. what songs they play and stuff cos im not going to be able to make it to any of the shows since they arent playing anywhere close enough to me.

Ah this is awesome you’re doing this Mall!
Well I like hearing what Phil has been up to…..videos are awesome, pictures are fantastic too!
I love video’s and clips of the day! I Look forward to future posts!
All the things you listed sound very good! I like to know the little things, like what you said: what did you have for dinner? etc. I can’t wait to read another post of yours. You make it so down to earth and funny. I like the way you write. Keep up the good work!! God Bless, Hannah
Mallory,
It’s great that you have taken on this task. I think Phil’s lyrics are like no other music artist. The intimacy he portrays between the believer and his God is unique and filled with faith-building power. I know my faith has been significantly impacted for the good. One thing I have been curious about for some time is how Phil was able to write with such depth from such a young age. Where did his unusual distilled understanding of the essence of the relational gospel of God come from…again at such a young age. Phil must have been in his teens when he began writing the songs for his self-titled album. I’m a father of two boys and I’d like know how I can raise teenagers with the depth of faith that Phil must have had early on. Thanks.
frequently updated general news and testimony vids are cool, & also free music downloads and complementary ticket giveaways gets fans pretty excited!
thats very sweeeeet of you to take over(;

you know what i would like to hear?
phil wickham’s embarrassing moments!
haha just kidding..
i think what i want to hear is about BOTH of your guys lives.
its gotta be hard living with a husband that travels alot.
i would love to hear both of you guys!
take care
RE: “Do you want me to pick Phil’s brain about a certain song? Post a video of the night? Or a picture?! Talk about what we had for dinner? Or how we had to take showers in a basement with cockroaches.”
Hi Mallory, haha, all the above! We were blessed to once again have Phil & Co. leading our Easter service & bonus concert that night, and would love to keep up with you all. So, whatever strikes your fancy will be of interest, I’m sure
The fact that you guys want to keep in touch with us all thru a blog at all is really cool! Have fun with it, and know you all remain in our prayers…for great health while on the road, time with the Lord, strength to do shows, family time, continued musical inspiration, protection, and whatever else you need!
God bless (oh, and please wish Phil a happy belated birthday!),

wow – just to be able to communicate with you is awesome! Can’t tell you how much my daughter and I love Phil’s wonderful gift of music. Heaven and Earth is one of those CD’s I will never tire of – every song is so amazing and moving – the songs talk my soul like a friend. I have given several of them for gifts.
A comment on one of Phil’s twitter posts a while back has stuck in my head – it was nothing major, but gave me a glimmer of Phil’s sense of humor – it was just a little comment to Mac Powell (Third Day) saying he heard him rehearsing when he walked into the building and said, “Boy, I wish I had a manly voice like that.” I still get a chuckle when I think about it. All this to say, I would love to see some ‘back stage’ or just hanging out time when he is just plain Phil. Of course, on the other hand, would also love to see a few clips of him performing some of his new songs also and a bit about his inspiration for the beautiful lyrics he puts to the beautiful music.
So, Mallory, just about anything you give us is what we will like!! We are just happy you are going this post thing. (I’m really tired of the word ‘blog’ too).
As soon as I saw Phil was going on tour I checked to see the closest concert – I think it’s Bimingham, AL. Sure am hopeful for a concert here in Chattanooga.
wow- you wrote exactly how i would word it!
I just want to say that each time I have seen Mr. Phil live he has given all the glory to God! That blesses me so much! I am personally touched by his music and am grateful that he chooses to use his God-given gifts for the furthering of God’s kingdom, encouragement of His people, and for His Glory! Anything you can share about what God is doing in you guys or people you come in contact with (in addition to the personal, fun stuff) would be awesome! I am so happy that he has a loving, supportive help-mate in you!
