Santa Barbara

Here are some pictures of our day off in Santa Barbara. It was a beautiful day, full of relaxing.
The picture of Phil smelling the flower is my favorite (the silly bird one comes in a close second). Tonight’s show is in Camarillo, CA at Calvary Chapel Nexus. Come say hi!

I was recently looking through your youtube videos and I stumbled across a song that you played at , ” Genesis” in simpson college, I think it was an old hymn. The lyrics were, ” Spirit of the Living God” It was soooo powerful! omgh, you need to record it! and man, you can hit those notes flawlessly! When you hit that high F, I’m like, ” Oh My word!” haha. Great great talent, and love your work:)

    Phil,

I recently have gotten into your music and have found you to be an inspiration in my worship leading. I saw at DBU in Dallas, Texas where you led acoustically and that was so good because I am drawn so much to your singalong album. I have your other albums but the singalong album is what draws me so much. There is something about singing together as one body. So I hear this in your singalong album as compared to your other live performances with a full band and yet I am still attracted to the acoustic guitar and everybody singing together.

I wanted to ask you if your mindset is different or if the experience is different when you get to lead worship for a church service as opposed to singing at your concerts?

  10. Hey, you were in my town (SB) today! Thanks for the great concert tonight! I had no plans on meeting you, but God had other plans I guess – very sweet of them to connect us after my “fall” – very embarrassing, felt a little like a junior higher at an ice skating rink, but oh well! Got some great shots for Klife too — where can I post “fan photos” to your FB page? Thanks again…Krista :)
