My personal favorite song was “The Little Drummer Boy” The ending was so great, it just reminds you that this was not just any king, but the King of Kings!

The Christmas CD is absolutely wonderful. I will probaly play it through the year. I was first introduced to you through my church, Cottonwood in Los Alamitos, CA and have been a huge fan ever since. Your voice and lyrics are amazing. My daughter says that your voice is what she imagines angels would sound like, pure. We will be attending your engagement in San Diego on January 9th, can’t wait. The Lord was definitely glorified in this album, and you can tell that you were singing for the King(: you’re incredible! Hope you and Mallory have an AMAZING Christmas! Thanks for the video and I’m glad to see the album is getting a good response. It is an AMAZING album, Phil. Seriously. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen such creativity poured into a Christmas album! What I would really love, if you have time to do a video response, is to know what inspired the tone and sounds of the Christmas album. It is sooo unique! And I love that! But yeah, from the note changes, to some of the sounds a la Heaven and Earth, to the tone/style changes in some traditionally slow songs – what inspired them? By the way, out of all the changes you made, I think these are my favorite: changing “if the fates allow” in “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” to “if the LORD allows” (that line has always bugged me!); changing “Silent Night” to a more upbeat rhythm (makes me smile every time I hear it); and everything about “Little Drummer Boy” (never had liked that song before your version!)
